History

The Pennypit Special Needs Youth Club was set up in 2003 for young people aged 15-24 with additional support needs who reside in East Lothian.

The Youth Club runs on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm in the Pennypit Centre, Rope Walk, Prestonpans.

The main aim of the Club is to provide a safe environment for young people with additional support needs to socially interact.

Membership

Membership fees are currently £2.50 per week, and this can either be paid weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly.

Activities

A variety of activities are put in place for the youths throughout the year, and these can vary from drama workshops to outdoor activities.  Participation in workshops is not compulsory, and a range of other activities is in place for youths who do not wish to attend a workshop.

1:1 Support and Transport

The Youth Club currently does not offer 1:1 support or transport to and from the Club, and this therefore must be arranged prior to any place being taken up.
