Fundraiser

Elli-b is hosting a fundraiser on behalf of the Youth Club and MacMillan Cancer on Thursday 26th March at the Marine Hotel in North Berwick.  Tickets are £25, which includes a 3 course meal and tea/coffee.  Tickets can be purchased individually, or if you would like to host a table, the tables are for 10 people and cost £250.  Tickets are available from the Youth Club or via the elli-b website – www.elli-b.com.  We hope that you can assist us in spreading the word about this event, and help make it as successful an event as possible.

Pitstop Café

We now have the staffing in place for the Pitstop Café – Edna Currie has been appointed as Café Supervisor, and Marion Hamilton has been appointed as Café Assistant.  Both women have a tremendous amount of experience in this field, having worked with McSense in Dalkeith in a similar working environment.  It was hoped that we would have the café opened by the end of February, but due to works requiring to be carried out in the café, this date has had to be put back to the end of March to allow the Council to carry out these works.

Residential

It is hoped that the Youth Club will host its annual residential in June this year.  Although all youths thoroughly enjoyed the residential last year, it was felt that the youths would get more out of the residential during the summer months (keep your fingers crossed that the sun will shine).  Anyway, we are therefore looking to go for a weekend in June, currently looking at the weekend of Friday 19th June – Sunday 21st June to Lagganlia Outdoor education centre near Aviemore.  More information regarding the Centre can be found at – www.lagganlia.com.  Any youths interested in this break should let us know as soon as possible, and places will be allocated on a 1st come 1st served basis, and will require a deposit of £25 per person.  The total cost of the residential this year is £75 per person, and this includes all accommodation, activities, food and transport for the weekend.

Barge Trips

Last year, the barge trips were a huge success, and it is hoped to run the trips again this year.  The Monday night group would be going on Saturday 6th June, and the Thursday night group would be going on Saturday 27th June, both groups would leave at 10am and return for 3.30pm.  There is no charge for this, but we do need confirmation prior to the Easter Holidays of places required.
