The Pitstop Café was established in 2009 as a new and innovative approach to training for young adults with additional support needs who reside in East Lothian.

The Pitstop Café work with up to 4 trainees per day on increasing their confidence, in the learning of transferable skills within a catering environment, and assisting the trainees in moving into paid employment in a mainstream workplace after successful completion of their training.

Our objectives are achieved through operating as a social enterprise, which ensures the financial sustainability of the training environment, whilst providing a first class learning environment.

The Pitstop Café work in partnership with Jewel & Esk College in providing SVQ1 training for the trainees, and with East Lothian Council in supporting the trainees during their placement with us.
